This picture has a story to it... several stories actually. First, I did this picture about...4 years ago. I was working at the Disney Store and we have the *Princess Collection*. Back then the Princess Collection included Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, and Jasmine (it's expanded since then). So, I started thinking about the OTHER Disney princesses who never get any attention. Some of them actually having the status of princess, others just were the Disney herione of the movie. But, some of the girls in the *Disney Princess Collection* aren't Princesses, perhaps they married INTO power, but they weren't a princess. So, my mind started pondering about a Disney *Princess* Revolt, and this is what came of it. ^^ Characters from Left to Right: Anastasia (yes, I know she's not Disney, tell that to the people who kept coming into the Disney store asking for an Anya doll!), Pocahontas, Mulan, Eilonwy, Jane, Kida, Esmeralda, and Megara. This picture was first seen on Elfwood in 2003...
Now, story #2. Characters from this picture (and another one Disney chibi pic I did) were STOLEN and turned into fradulent Disney/Coke/McDs pins, and sold on Ebay. I discovered them one night whilst cruising Ebay, around... Nov/Dec of 2003. I was flabbergasted so to speak, and worked on getting the pins not sold on Ebay. I also took the Disney chibi pics down off of Elfwood, much to the dismay of the fans who loved them, but I didn't want any more characters stolen.
However times have changed.
I don't shop on Ebay anymore (due to some prior experiences with them, one of the partaining to THIS thief incident) so I don't know how successful I was at having the Disney chibi pins (or as they are called "Young Disney Princesses" off of Ebay. However, I don't think I should hide the chibis anymore. They are MY fanart of Disney characters. I DON'T own the characters, I did these drawings for pleasure and fun. AND NO ONE ELSE has the right to steal MY artwork of DISNEY'S characters and make a profit off of them. Thus, I want the chibis out there, and I want people to know that art thieves stole MY artwork. Disney, Coke, nor McDs probably know about this, with as much as their big companies make, my stolen artwork of Disney characters is probably an insignifant expense. However, if there IS anyone out there with hookups to the big wigs of these companies (particularly Disney), I would love to tell them about this. Since this happened 3 years ago I know the theive's trail is long gone , when I tried to find out the whos, whys and wheres from sellers they claimed ignorance. But I want the people to know, and I want people to enjoy this piece, it brought a lot of laughs to those who saw it on Elfwood. And that, my friends, was the reason I did it to begin with...
Anya belongs to 20th Century Fox; Pocahontas, Mulan, Eilonwy, Jane, Kida, Esmeralda, and Megara belong to Disney
this is cool i remember the atlantis chick... who's the one that everyone thinks is disney?
and who's the girl next to pocahontas, in the kimono? Oh -- is that Mulan?

You can piss off a king. The worst he can do is kill you. Dont piss off the pope. He can send you to hell. Nobody likes hell.
Omg. Haha. That is so TRUE! I worked in the Disney Store as well (just quit a few months ago, actually) But I mostly got questions like if we had Spiderman or Shrek. O.o Some people asked for Alice, but she's not apart of the 'collection' so yeah..
You SHOULD be able to spread your chibi's around! Don't keep them in. My sister had the same thing happen to her only it was an Ayumi wallpaper she made. Someone actually made a poster of it and was selling it on Ebay! The things that people do...
Hehe... I once had a person come in and ask if we sold Tweety plushies...
Art thieves are evil! And Ebay...Ebay seems to be this great place to find rare things- and a great place for thieves of various natures to sell theirs.
That's Anastasia (the one everyone thinks is Disney, she's actually 20th Century Fox). I lost count how many times people would walk into the Disney store asking if we sold dolls of her...
I LOVE Anastasia!!! (Even if she isn't Disney. Neither are Swan Princess or Thumbelina, and they're mistaken a lot too... *shrugs* Go Figure.)
Yeah, when I went to Disneyland I was all disappointed cos it was SO difficult to find merchandise for Atlantis, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Mulan... sigh...
