My first original ATC/ACEO. I haven't decided if I will keep her for trading or if I will sell her through my website or Etsy. But I am happy with how she turned out. :)

She looks gorgeous and all the details are amazing

How do you keep your ink lines that dark? When I use ink and paint it with watercolours my lines always nearly vanish or look grey D:

Hmmm... it may have to do with the type of ink and watercolors I'm using? ::goes to see brand of ink:: I use Higgins Fadeproof ink - the color is brown. It practically looks black, but in person it doesn't have the stark harshness of black that makes pieces more comic book like (at least that's what I think!).

I should also mention that I'm inking with a quill dip pen and ink from a bottle like this: [link]

Which the ink you use for those, India ink and the like, react differently with other mediums than when you ink pictures with like a Copic pens or other drawing ink pens. India ink is thicker (like after have drawn a picture with it you can touch the picture and it will feel like braille where the ink is when using India ink) and watercolors won't cover over the lines as easily (paint with thicker watercolor and yes, you still can).

My watercolors are not the most expensive brands in the work either - which may have something to do with it too (I actually want to get some nicer brands that have some spiffy colors and effects). But, I also do keep paper towel and some q-tips nearby so if I get any paint ON some lines too thickly that I don't want on the line I use those tools to clean it up before it dries.

The tip with the ink bottle and a quill dip pen is a good one. I normally ink with Copic Multiliner because I became too lazy to use my bottled ink... maybe I should try it and see if there's a difference.
I don't have expensive watercolours either XD I still think it doesn't always depend on the brand...

But thank you so much for the reply  I will try my india ink again (I hope I can find the bottle I bought last year XD)

Yeah, I've used Copic's multiliner pens too - just depends on the project I'm doing! But the more I ink with the dip pen, the more I REALLY prefer that.

And you're welcome!! I'll be excited to see what you do with the India ink!

Yes, get some inspiration and DO them! And then show me. :D

And then when you do get into them, we'll have to do an ATC card swap!

Thanks! They are really fun to do. Mini artworks without having to spend TONS of time on. Good for experimenting. ^^

Dreamweaver - were we talking about doing an art exchange??? Because now I can NOT remember. I feel that SOMEWHERE I should have info on a gargoyle character of yours - but I have lost it! Epic FAIL!
